Global Manufacturing Company Conference

Event Overview

Our client, a Japanese based global manufacturing company, required a unique southern European destination for 150 people. The 6-day conference comprised of two events running back to back for two of their client groups. The first event was for clients coming from the UK and Germany and the second event was for clients from France and Italy. The client also required a hotel with a demonstration space, meeting rooms and a large gala dinner space.

The Venue

We proposed venues in Spain, Malta and Portugal for our client. The client chose the Meliá in Alicante, Spain. The client’s culture is to challenge the unknown with creativity and we felt the venue was a creative solution to their requirements. The Meliá offers multi-functional rooms with simple elegant decor and sea views,  along with 12 meeting and banqueting rooms that can facilitate events for up to 550 people.

Challenges

Finding a demonstration area in close proximity to a quality hotel to run the conference was challenging for our venue-sourcing executives. We did not want to compromise on the location or quality of the hotel in order to facilitate the demonstration. We solved this challenge by thinking creatively and found great options in Malta, Spain and Portugal. The client confirmed in Spain as the venue ticked all the boxes.
