This quaint island has all the elements for a totally informal summer resort. Picturesque windmills dot the landscape. There are whitewashed houses, attractive narrow passageways, an endless line of boutiques, and chapels. There are supposedly 365 chapels on the island of Mykonos. The most famed of all is the graceful Paraportiani, perhaps the most photographed chapel in the entire world. The boutiques offer the widest range of fashions, jewelry, woven artifacts. Besides being the place “to see and be seen”, Mykonos is also world famous for its night life.
