The Grey Lady Legend of Oatlands Park Hotel – Surrey, UK

The Grey Lady is said to be the ghost of a maid who worked at the hotel, and jumped to her death from the bell tower after her heart was broken in a lover’s quarrel.  Hotel staff have claimed to have witnessed the apparition of the Grey Lady stalking the Tudor Wing of the 19th century hotel on numerous occasions. But don’t worry, Lady Grey is known to be a friendly ghost, and will only alter the temperature in room 1303!

Ghost children skip through the corridors of Hotel Burchianti – Florence, Italy

 

Guests are known to experience supernatural experiences within the guest rooms at Hotel Burchianti, some have claimed to see an apparition of a woman knitting in a chair, ghost maids cleaning in the morning, and even children skipping through the corridors of the old hotel, not to mention the feeling of an ice cold breath on their faces. The cheryb angels painted on the bedroom ceilings may also give off the feeling of being watched in the night.

The colonial sailor haunting room 8 in the Russell Hotel – Sydney, Australia

The Russell Hotel is one of the oldest buildings in Sydney with its history as a  hospital throughout the small pox and bubonic plagues. It seems one of the guests from the colonial ages never checked out of the hospital, as guests in room 8 have commonly claimed to have been awoken by the figure of a man in colonial uniform watching them as they slept! The hotel staff are more than happy to offer a tour of the premises, along with much anticipated details on their infamous long-term tenant.

The halls of the Bourbon Orleans hotel is a popular haunt for past residents dating back to the early 1800’s. With a rich history on the grounds of the historic ballroom, theatre, convent and orphanage throughout the centuries. Today The Bourbon Hotel appears to be the residence of an eclectic mix of spirits from throughout the ages. Guests and staff alike have frequently claimed to have seen the ghost of a young girl rolling a ball slowly along the corridor of the 6th floor, while others have reported seeing the ghost of a woman dancing in the ballroom beneath the chandelier.
