venuesworld.com 2019 Kick-Off Meeting

Teamwork makes the dream work

Each year the team from the venuesworld.com head office take some time away from the office to review the previous year and plan for the year ahead. We then take some time out to relax and unwind as a team. This year we headed to the gorgeous Killashee House Hotel in Naas, Co. Kildare. This four-star luxury destination was the ideal location for our team’s incentive trip.

Incentive trips have a lot of benefits both for employees, but also the business too. At venuesworld.com we organise incentive trips across Europe, the Middle East and Asia for our clients, so it is good for our team to experience, first-hand, different experiences that we offer to our clients.

Incentive trips also offer other benefits such as:

  • Motivate and inspire staff with a memorable trip
  • Create stronger relationships between team members
  • Foster employee loyalty and dedication
  • Relaxation and rejuvenation

The Venue

The team in venuesworld.com and venuesireland.com are local experts about Ireland. We take the time to get to know the venues we propose to our clients and the experiences we help create. We chose Killashee House Hotel as the perfect venue as it had all the facilities we required for our kick-off meeting. We used the expert advice from the venuesireland.com team as we needed a luxurious retreat with meeting space, tranquillity, but also within close proximity to Dublin city.

The venue has over 141 bedrooms, 18 meeting rooms and 3 ballrooms. There is also a fully equipped gym and the Killashee Spa. As an incentive trip destination, it is perfect as you enter via the long drive and discover a world of tranquillity. Killashee House Hotel is also a perfect conference venue with capacity for up to 800 people in theatre style.

Mindfulness

Nothing is more important than health. The healthier and happier that your team are, the better that they can perform. venuesworld.com places a lot of importance on the health and well-being of their teams. This year we had Miriam Kerins Hussey from the Awakening to speak to the team about Integrated Wellness and Health at work. With advice on mindfulness, nutrition and health, the session helped energise the team and set the tone for the rest of the meeting.

Evening Dinner

Ireland is famed for the quality of it’s produce and the high standard of its food. For an intimate evening dinner for the team in the highly recommended Trax Brasserie in Naas. With impeccable service from their staff and a beautiful beef daube, to name one of the incredible dishes, the restaurant was an excellent example of local knowledge helping to uncover some hidden gems.

Team-Building Activity

We regularly organise Team-Building Activities for our clients and cannot emphasise how important these activities can be to build relationships and moral amongst teams. Working with a supplier we regularly use for events, we divided the team into 2 groups. Both teams raced to build their “Roman Chariots” from simple cardboard into valiant racing machines, then race against each other to be named Victors.

This simple task was easily one of the highlights of this trip and helped to both build new relationships and reinforce old ones. We worked with an amazing company called Orangeworks who are one of the leading team building companys in Ireland. They created this amazing experience and managed to rally even those of us who were lagging so we left feeling energised and recharged.

Malta is the largest of the three Mediterranean islands making up the Republic of Malta. The island does not have any mountains or rivers,  and instead there are 137 kilometres of sandy beaches and rocky coves.

The climate offers all year round sunshine, from mild winters at 14c, to balmy summer days at 32c. The hottest months are from mid July to mid September, but the high temperatures are generally tempered by the cool sea breezes.

We at venuesmalta.com would be happy to find the ideal conference venue for you completely free of charge. Being a small archipelago of islands, no where is too far, adding yet another reason Malta is the ideal location for your next corporate event.
