The International Women’s Day Coffee Morning

The coffee morning proved an absolute success. Not only did we raise a couple of hundred euro for Dress for Success Dublin, the combined clothes donations from the wonderful women working in the local community formed a stylish and elegant wardrobe, which we hope will give more women a boost in confidence and style to help them along their future career paths.

Opening the Dialogue

The event was also a great opportunity to meet and discuss the incredible progress achieved by women today, and the changes still needed worldwide in order to reach gender parity in the future. The awareness generated by International Women’s Day and Dress for Success are vital contributions to opening up the dialogue on such a profoundly important topic, and VenuesWorld™ are proud to support the cause.

In 2015 the World Economic Forum predicted it would take 117 years to achieve global gender parity! If you are interested in speeding up the process, IWD are welcoming men and women to take the #PledgeForParity – whether it be supporting women in their ambitions, calling for gender-balanced leadership, or contributing to a cultural change and rooting out workplace bias, your contribution will influence gender parity for future generations.

Dress for Success Dublin

Since 2011, Dress for Success Dublin has supported over 1,100 women with the professional clothing, boost of confidence and skills to land the job and succeed within the workplace.

“All of our services, including suiting appointments, the career centre, specialised workshops and ongoing career support network are led by our team of highly skilled volunteers. We are a registed charity in Ireland and part of a worlwide network of 141 Dress for Success affiliates.”
