The DHL Network Operations Conference in Portugal
DHL approached the venuesportugal.com™ team for assistance in organising their international network operations conference in Portugal. 100 delegates were invited from various European locations to take part in a 3 day conference, which involved a seminar on internal updates, brainstorming workshops and group meetings. The Epic Sana Lisboa Hotel was selected for the cabaret style conference event, and an offsite evening dinner was served in the stunning sunset setting at the well-known Rio’s Restaurant in Lisbon.
A free venue finding proposal and a capacity and cost breakdown was presented to the client, offering a selection of potential venues that best suited the size, theme and purpose of the event. All negotiations with local suppliers were seamlessly managed by the local team, as well as transport logistics, accommodation management, and the audio visual set-up. The team arranged the offsite events and the gala dinner, ensuring a memorable experience for all involved.

Epic Sana Lisboa Hotel – Lisbon, Portugal
The Epic Sana Lisboa Hotel offers fantastic conference and event facilities. Not only is there a flexible area of 1,760 square metres available, the venue is situated in the centre of Lisbon, and only a 13 minute drive from Lisbon Airport.
There are 14 meeting rooms over 2 levels, each adaptable and versatile for use on large and small events. There is also a foyer and outdoor deck available for year round sunny days and balmy summer evenings. The larger meeting spaces on the congress level can be partitioned into smaller or larger conference spaces.
Portugal is a very popular conference destination in Europe, and for good reason. Air access is excellent, with international flights daily into the central Lisbon Airport. There are direct flights to Lisbon from some North-American airports, while Porto and Faro are served by other European capitals. Lisbon is a two and a half hour flight from London or Amsterdam and seven hours from the east coast of the US.
