The Marina Bay Sands, Singapore is a world renowned iconic property and landmark, so it was a very fitting venue. And with 2,500 bedrooms and acres of conference space, it had plenty of room to fit this sizeable conference.
The conference set up was primarily focused on presenting an impressive technically innovative conference event in order to reflect the client’s leading edge technological standards. The conference was streamed in 3 languages and catered for all the dietary requirements applicable to the region. The conference ran across 2 days with plenary, breakouts and round table sessions.
The event finished with a stunning gala dinner, and much like its European sister event, this innovative conference was set out to impress from start to finish. The lush gardens by the Bay set the ideal scene for the event, and guests had exclusive access to the flower dome, with stunning views over both the bay and the garden. After the conference, a traditional lion dance introduced the audience to Singapore cultural entertainment, and the local band lead set the scene for the evening celebrations.

The Ritz Carlton Resort, in this magnificent rural setting, provided the community environment TIA required. This relaxed country retreat facilitated TIA in hosting a focussed conference without distraction.
The famous ‘Johnny Foxes Hooley’ provided entertainment in the evening while showcasing typical Irish culture and talent. The Trinitones Choir from Trinity College added a quirky twist at the opening ceremony with their version of Johnny Cash’s ‘Personal Jesus’ adapted to ‘Personal TIA’ .

Nalco Sales Meeting Lisbon
venuesportugal.com created and managed a fantastic programme for the Nalco Sales Meeting. Penha Longa in Sintra never fails to impress and the Nalco team were not disappointed (see feedback below). A busy conference schedule & trade show was intermixed with Sales themed team-building activities in Lisbon City, followed by dinner at the spectacular Restaurant Adega do Kais, housed in a late XIX century warehouse by the riverside, which was used to generate energy for Portuguese trams.
The gala dinner was hosted at the hotel taking advantage of the beautiful gardens for a relaxing welcome cocktail. A traditional Fado singer provided a taste of Portuguese culture and supported the much-anticipated awards ceremony.

Following the success of the MeeGo™ Conference last year, the venuesusa.com team began planning for our client’s inaugural Tizen Conference in San Francisco. Hyatt San Francisco was retained as the conference venue and the team did a great job again.
The California Academy of Science recently opened an amazing new facility in Golden Gate Park, and we were thrilled to secure this venue for our off-site evening. The 400,000 sq.ft. structure houses an aquarium, a planetarium, a natural history museum and a 4-story rainforest under one roof. We constructed a food pavilion with Japanese, Chinese, Spanish and American food, creating a science and culinary evening with a difference.
The events stakeholders Linux Foundation, Intel Corporation and Samsung were delighted with the success of the conference and now we working together towards Tizen conference next year.

While several destinations were considered for this event, Thoratec finally decided on Malta as the perfect destination for the event. While the island has 13 5-star venues to choose from, the Westin Dragonara Hotel was selected to host this year’s conference Malta.
